Mashable & The Next Web Move Towards A Common Layout

Mashable and The Next Web which are probably the best known names by which the common web user gets to know social media a little bit better.The most amazing and shocking fact is that both of them have finally implemented a layout which tends to be a lot similar.

And next is TNW

The only difference I tend to notice in these include :

  • The Next Web doesn’t cover my whole window and has some padding.
  • TNW when scrolled fully ends somewhere whereas Mashable tends to be influenced a lot by Pinterest hence its screen doesn’t end.

In the end what all makes me wonder is the fact that is this a move by the complete blogging world for a new design that may be followed up by other blogs as well.
